Jeff Kierzek, a Milwaukee native, has a profound love for nature. His fascination with creatures big and small evolved into a career dedicated to helping others experience the joy and wonder that sparked his own interest in the planet. With a diverse background in ecology and education, Jeff has excelled in various roles, from classroom teaching to directing programs, summer camps, and educational experiences — most recently at Riveredge Nature Center. His commitment to project-based and inquiry-driven learning shines through as he fosters a positive culture and an environment of curiosity within his team.  

When he’s not at work, Jeff enjoys spending time skipping stones on the lakeshore, fishing, camping, and exploring with his wife and son. 

Jeff is thrilled to join the team at Sugar Maple Nature School and continue to nurture the vibrant community of staff, families, and partners.
