Giving Seeds of Legacy

Help us plant permanent roots for generations of nature-based learners.

Sugar Maple Nature School has an exciting opportunity to purchase the building we currently lease, turning a temporary space into a permanent home. Owning the building means we can redirect critical resources toward expanding the number of students we serve, enhancing our outdoor learning spaces, and investing in innovative, nature-based programming. This moment isn’t just about buying a building—it’s about securing the future of our mission and creating a stable foundation for generations of curious, connected learners. With your support, we can plant the seeds of a lasting legacy.

Classrooms Without Walls, Lessons Without Limits

Nature-Based Learning that Boosts Academic & Well-Being Outcomes

Sugar Maple follows a nature- and forest-school inspired model rooted in research evidence. Nature-based learning has been shown to improve student engagement, attention, academic performance, physical health, and emotional well-being through hands‑on outdoor education.

Strong Academic Performance & Equity

Despite being a small, tuition-free charter school serving diverse learners, Sugar Maple Nature School consistently outperforms state and district averages in standardized tests—achieving 100% proficiency in 4th grade Science scores and strong proficiency in Math, English Language Arts, and Social Studies.

Experiential, Community-Engaged STEM & Environmental Education

Students at Sugar Maple excel in real-world STEM challenges that emphasize environmental stewardship and practical innovation. For example, their KidWind wind turbine and solar design teams have earned state-first place honors and advanced to international competitions, reflecting the school’s dedication to hands‑on projects and leadership.

Sugar Maple Nature School is a powerful choice for families seeking innovative, impactful education.
