I am passionate about implanting the fondness of lifelong learning, instilling a passion for nature, and encouraging the value of community. I believe in guiding learners to explore their own curiosities and wonderings. The great outdoors is filled with tons of mysterious marvels to investigate. I have taught for three years, holding various positions. I was a substitute teacher, educational assistant, and a student-teacher for both general education and special education. Each of these positions taught me the value and importance of every member of a learning community. My unique experience molded me into a holistic teacher and learner.
As a child I would spend the majority of my days outside running around and imagining myself in another world. Nature is my inspiration for my imagination and wonders. My family tradition is to travel somewhere new every year. We explore new places each summer and return home filled with new discoveries. My parents taught me the value of family and friendship.
In my spare time, I go on long walks or hikes with my dog (who is always reminding me to slow down and be in the present), create new dishes with friends, and learn a new craft. The latest is mastering new instruments like the ukulele and kalimba.
